Sustainability is a matter close to our hearts. That is why we take a holistic approach and look at the topic from many different perspectives. We also see sustainability as an ongoing process.

As Confucius said: the journey is the destination. We constantly strive to improve and to question our actions.

We are aware that we are not perfect. Nevertheless, we are committed to taking responsibility and making better decisions every day by minimising our environmental and social impact across our entire business chain.

PLANT-MY-TREE®

Since 2020, we have been contributing to environmental and climate protection together with our partner PLANT-MY-TREE®. Actively contributing to CO₂ compensation is an important measure to protect our planet's environment in the long term and to leave future generations a world worth living in.

Regular quality assurance and inspections

OUR CERTIFICATES

It is important to us that our words are followed by actions. Our certificates are therefore a good way to create more transparency. The various certificates cover topics such as social responsibility, environmental impact and animal welfare.

THE CERTIFICATES

GOTS The GOTS seal is awarded anew every year, and companies are subject to regular inspections. For a garment to receive the GOTS seal, it must consist of at least 70% natural fibres of certified organic quality (kbA/kbT) and meet comprehensive social and environmental criteria in its production.

OCS 100 applies to products, with the exception of food, that contain 95 to 100 percent certified organic material. It makes it possible to record the content and quantity of certified organic material in a final product and to trace the raw material from its source to the final product.

OCS Blended The Organic Content Standard (OCS) applies to products, with the exception of food, that contain 5 to 94 percent certified organic material. It makes it possible to record the content and quantity of certified organic material in a final product and to trace the raw material from its source to the final product.

PETA VEGAN The “PETA-Approved Vegan” seal identifies vegan fashion and guarantees that the entire item is free from animal-derived ingredients and that no animal-derived substances are used in its production.


LENZING™ ECOVERO™* certifies that the wood comes from certified, environmentally responsible and controlled sources and is processed through a fully traceable manufacturing process.

LENZING™ Tencel™ LENZING™ Tencel™ fibres are made from the natural raw material wood. TENCEL™ Lyocell and Modal fibres are produced with at least 50% lower CO2 emissions and water consumption. This makes them more environmentally friendly while offering long-lasting comfort.

International Association of Natural Textile Industry (IVN)

We are also a member of the IVN (International Association of Natural Textile Industry). As a member, we commit to the highest standards in sustainable textile production. The IVN advocates environmentally friendly and socially responsible production processes in the textile industry and promotes transparency and credibility along the entire supply chain. As a member of this association, we continuously work to manufacture our products according to these strict guidelines in order to protect the environment and ensure fair working conditions.

OUR WOOL IS

MULESING FREE

Mulesing is a practice widespread in Australia in which the folds of skin around the anal and genital area of merino lambs are cut away. Mulesing is a cruel and painful mutilation of the animals, and we firmly reject it for animal welfare reasons.

OUR PARTNERS

At eve in paradise, we take responsibility for our production chain. This means we know all the producers involved, from the raw material supplier to the weaving mill, the spinning mill, the dye works and the printing works through to the sewing workshop. This is only possible because for years we have pursued a strategy of long-term, partnership-based collaboration with a small number of producers.

Among other things, we place great importance on fair and safe working conditions, high social standards and appropriate pay.
